Compare and Contrast Review
InfoWars is an alternative news media outlet run by Alex Jones. Secondly, Fox News is a conservative media outlet created by Rupert Murdoch and is run by former NBC executive Roger Ailes. InfoWars Alex Jones is considered a “conspiracy theorist” by many and they label him as such, even on Wikipedia; Fox News is a major conservative news media outlet.
However, the two media forms are alike because they are both media/news outlets. Also, they cover the most up-to-date news as well as they have older pod casts, news videos, and articles with commentaries with older broadcasts available online and on YouTube. Both InfoWars and Fox News have their own YouTube channel; they both have a blue layout on each of their websites. They both have advertisements on their channel, although one’s on TV commercials and another’s online which is on after their videos (InfoWars video). Both media news outlets feature online articles and videos to be read and watched; Both the news outlets reports on a fair amount of detail on each of the news stories as they happen, although InfoWars is more "Christian-biased" (a quote by me) and there's nothing wrong with that because they're just sharing their faith and beliefs with everyone so they can better understand them as a whole. Also, InfoWars seems to get more detail or more detailed into their reports, like how on a YouTube video: Alex Jones raided the Google Headquarters
Aside from that, I have learned much about this assignment: both about InfoWars run by Alex Jones and Fox News which is a conservative media outlet created by Rupert Murdoch and is run by former NBC executive Roger Ailes. I have learned more about who Alex Jones is and what he stands for; I have also learned of how InfoWars at times reports what other media outlets such as Fox News don’t, also concerning the 9/11 attacks. I learned how both companies handle their advertising and about how I or anyone else could enter their company outlet though being an advertiser through them and help or endorse Fox News or InfoWars. I learned aside from this assignment before that InfoWars actually stands for Information Wars and that their slogan is “There is a war on your mind. Become, fight, and join the resistance” or something like that and that Fox News’s slogan is “Fair and Balanced” news, 24/7, referring to 24 hours in a day, 7 days a week which is pretty much 365 days a year, all year round up-to-date coverage on the news. This compare and contrasting between InfoWars (Information Wars) and Fox News have indeed truly taught me much and they have many similarities and differences from their websites to their YouTube videos. One’s run on-air on T.V., radio, and online while the other is just radio and online.
I have enjoyed the assignment which I just did comparing and contrasting InfoWars (Information Wars) and Fox News. I enjoyed comparing and contrasting the two news and for InfoWars: the alternative news media outlet. I learned more about the InfoWars founder: Alex Jones and more about him; I learned who owns Fox News and a little bit about who owns the company that owns the media group which is above Fox News which is News Corp which is billionaire Ruppert Murdock. I learned that Fox News is technically under the name of 21st Century Fox. This is good to know because it teaches me more about who runs everything and the media listened to by some in the world.
